In Memoriam

The bravest warrior of all, fireheart. Soul of courage. You wished you wouldn’t be forgotten, and your light would once more, shine in my stories. Your story truly deserves a happy ending.

Soldier. This is my tribute to you.
Once upon a time you told me that your life is meaningless.
Unlike what you believed, you were far from meaningless; you came with the greatest purpose of all.
Road we traveled together was destined; only you could have been my bearer of light.
Coal of mine you ignited with your love, blazed my soul and heart with an eternal flame.
Eternal. And I will never cease to carry your flame.

Couldn’t hold your hand in mine in this lifetime but in the highlands, your hand never left mine.
Our warzone was love, but in the frontlines, we are our own greatest enemy.
Depths of your soul you never dared to conquer. Depths of your heart and mind.
Enemy prevented you from fully living and truly loving.

In the embrace of the sea, the depths of the water eventually became your destiny.
Story came to an end. But you faced your destiny eye to eye without ever backing down.

Fireheart, I knew what God’s love was, and now I know what God’s wrath is.
Our war ends only in victory and with your fire, God’s sacred love and wrath, I continue my mission.
Unconditional love is now my only weapon and strategy. Indeed, that’s how wars are won.
Never shall we see that day again when darkness destroys every faith, hope, and love.
Dawn of victory will shine for us and the memory of every fallen angel.

We were everything, Jekyll and Hyde, Bonnie and Clyde, Romeo and Juliet, Jack and Rose.
In all our stories, you played your part perfectly. Not even once did you stray from your mission.
Truly, you are in every story ever written. You’ve always been in the stars.
How beautiful, my love, it was, to fight by your side,
In this final battle of love. I thank you from the bottom of my heart that you didn’t forget.
Now I know what is at stake in this holy war; life and love.
